Experience

Eleine is a LLB degree Graduate from the University of the Western Cape and is currently a LLM candidate at the University. Her work experience includes the following:

– Eleine previously led the Student Representative Council at the University of Western Cape between 2019 – 2021. Through which platform she served on critical University forums such as the University Senate, a structure reporting to the University Council.

– During her final year of studies at the University of Western Cape she was involved in the Moot Court Society, the University law clinic as well as the Chamber of legal students. The objective of these structures includes offering legal services to the neighboring community within which the university exists.

– During 2021, Eleine undertook vocational training with Smit Tabata Buchanan Boyes (STBB), Cape Town. Wherein she received training in commercial contracts, wills and estates, family law and general conveyancing.

– Eliene was previously employed at GRM Search as a Legal Recruitment Consultant, Cape Town. Where her duties involved, liaising with senior legal practitioners, providing reports to the CEO and Head of Recruitment, collection of information and trends surrounding the legal market, and conducting preliminary interview prior to referring candidates to clients.

– She has done Practical Vocational Training at Henwoods & Associates, Notaries and Conveyancers, a Cape Town based law firm where she procured duties related to claims on deceased estates and dealt with trust accounts. Eleine further undertook vocational work at Komane Attorneys, a Jane Furse based law firm.
