Tebogo Malatji completed his B Proc at Turfloop University (now University of Limpopo) and an LLB from Howard College at the University of Natal (now University of Kwa-Zulu Natal). He was the first black director at a predominantly Afrikaans commercial law firm in Pretoria in 1998 and rose to become its managing director in 2005 until 2018 when Malatji & Co Attorneys was formed.
Tebogo’s practice covers a full spectrum of advisory and litigation services for Ministers, National and Provincial Departments, Boards and CEOs of public entities, Regulators and major government business enterprises, on all aspects of Public Law, the exercise of public power, application of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and Directives, as well as corporate governance and restructuring of state owned entities.
Tebogo advises various corporate entities, drawing on his wealth of experience in assisting the Public Sector with regard to regulatory requirements in commercial transactions, and compliance with, and interpretation of legislation. In this role, he helps the corporate world maintain legal health in coping with the dictates of the regulatory environment within which businesses operate.
